Spanish 2 Lessons:
These Spanish lessons have been set up in Modules. There are 13 Modules for the year. These are to be used with any additional speaking, listening, and writing activities that you would like to incorporate. Make these Spanish Notes work for you...but please leave my credits page (slide 2) in the Google Slides Notes. The whole goal is to make our lives simpler. I don't know about you....but my hair has fallen out and turned white because of on-line teaching during Covid. I know that this is happening to many other teachers as well since I'm the big mouth who will bring it up to anyone who listens to me....and then I hear that other teachers are losing their hair, too! My people are not bald (I'm not against men being bald)....but for me....this is totally NOT OK. We need to stop stressing, and make things simple.
These Modules take me 2 weeks (5 days of instruction) to complete--with any additional materials that I choose to include. My school has students coming to me every other day, where they are given approximately 80 minutes of instruction. These Modules are set up for 4 days worth of lessons (or review days)....with the 5th day being our test day.
At the beginning of the year, there are 4 lessons per Modules 1-3--as these cover review information from Spanish 1. Starting with Module 4, there are typically around 2 days of lessons, 2 days for review, and a test day.
The test is the EXACT information that the students went over in the lessons. Yes....you heard me....the EXACT information. We are keeping things simple. This way, students know exactly what they need to study for the upcoming the test. The lessons become a study guide for the test. In the last few months, I have started making my students take (and turn in for a grade) handwritten notes from the Google Forms lessons. This way, I know that at the minimum they are putting the Spanish into their brains while taking notes on the Google Forms Lesson (their hand written notes then become a paper study guide for them to study for the upcoming exam). So...they have MY notes which are located below, and they have THEIR notes which come directly form the information in the Google Forms lessons. Not everything in my notes are on the test....but if it is in the lesson...it is definitely on the test...100% guaranteed!
